Recycling Expo Middle East Postponed to 22–23 September 2026

Recycling Expo Middle East Postponed to 22–23 September 2026

Recycling Expo Middle East, originally scheduled to take place in Dubai in June, will now be held on 22–23 September 2026 at the Festival Arena, Dubai, following a decision to postpone in light of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

The decision has been made after careful consideration of the evolving regional situation and the potential impact on international travel, logistics, and the overall wellbeing of participants, partners, and stakeholders.

Recycling Expo Middle East remains firmly committed to the United Arab Emirates and the wider Gulf region, and will continue to serve as a central convening platform for recycling and waste management professionals across the GCC.

Designed to address the practical, operational, and policy challenges shaping waste and resource management in rapidly growing urban environments, the event will bring together municipal authorities, government stakeholders, waste managers, recyclers, technology providers, and end-user organisations to explore solutions across the full recycling value chain.

The agenda will remain aligned with the priorities of the UAE, including collaboration with leading authorities such as Dubai Municipality, Centre of Waste Management,  Abu Dhabi (Tadweer), and Bee’ah, alongside engagement with regional stakeholders from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Bahrain.

Commenting on the announcement, Jake Cody, Managing Director of Recycling Expo Middle East, said:

We have taken the decision to move Recycling Expo Middle East to September following careful consideration of the current situation in the region. The wellbeing of our participants, partners, and stakeholders is our priority, alongside ensuring we can deliver the event to the standard the market expects.”

“Our commitment to the UAE and the wider Gulf region remains unchanged. We remain focused on delivering a strong, relevant platform that supports collaboration, knowledge exchange, and practical progress across recycling and waste management.”

Further announcements regarding the conference programme, speakers, and participating organisations will be made in the coming months.
