Recycling Expo Middle East to Take Place in Dubai, Bringing Together Recycling and Waste Management Leaders from Across the UAE and Gulf Region
Recycling Expo Middle East will take place on 2–3 June 2026 at the Festival Arena, Dubai, positioning the city as the central convening hub for recycling and waste management professionals across the United Arab Emirates and the wider Gulf region.
Designed to address the practical, operational, and policy challenges shaping waste and resource management in rapidly growing urban environments, Recycling Expo Middle East will bring together municipal authorities, government stakeholders, waste managers, recyclers, technology providers, and end-user organisations to explore solutions across the full recycling value chain.
The event agenda will be firmly rooted in the priorities of the UAE, with particular focus on the needs and strategies of the country’s leading waste management authorities, including Dubai Municipality, Centre of Waste Management – Abu Dhabi (Tadweer), and Bee’ah. Alongside this, the Expo will provide a platform for wider regional dialogue, attracting participants from across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Bahrain.
Recycling Expo Middle East will engage with federal and regional policy priorities currently shaping the sector, including the UAE National Waste Management Strategy, the National Agenda for Integrated Waste Management, and broader circular economy initiatives led at a federal level by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE). The programme will also reflect emirate-level initiatives such as landfill diversion targets, construction and demolition waste standards, waste-to-energy deployment, smart waste systems, and extended producer responsibility (EPR) frameworks covering packaging and electronic waste.
The two-day conference programme will span expert keynote sessions, panel discussions, and live product spotlights, examining how policy, technology, and commercial delivery are coming together to address priority waste streams across the UAE. Topics will include municipal solid waste, construction and demolition waste, plastics and packaging, electronic waste, materials recovery facilities, and the role of innovation in accelerating landfill diversion and circular outcomes.
Alongside the conference agenda, Recycling Expo Middle East will feature a dedicated exhibition floor showcasing solution providers from across the recycling and waste management ecosystem, including collection, processing, recycling, data-driven operations, and circular infrastructure. The event will also host the Circular 100 – Middle East, a regional recognition initiative highlighting individuals and organisations making measurable contributions to recycling, waste management, and circular economy progress.
Commenting on the announcement, Jake Cody, Managing Director of Recycling Expo Middle East, said:
“Dubai provides a natural meeting point for the recycling and waste management community - not only for the UAE, but for the wider Gulf region. Recycling Expo Middle East is designed to support delivery, bringing together authorities, industry, and solution providers to address real-world challenges and accelerate progress on the ground.”
“The focus of the event is practical collaboration - sharing insight, showcasing proven solutions, and creating meaningful connections that support the UAE’s waste and circular economy ambitions while engaging with the wider regional market.”
By convening municipal authorities, policymakers, and industry stakeholders in one forum, Recycling Expo Middle East aims to strengthen collaboration, support knowledge exchange, and contribute to the development of more resilient, efficient, and circular waste management systems across the UAE and beyond.
Further announcements regarding the conference programme, speakers, and participating organisations will be made in the coming months.
