Riyadh to Host Recycling Expo Middle East 2025 as Kingdom Advances Vision 2030 Circular Economy Goals
The Kingdom generates more than 50 million tonnes of municipal solid waste annually, with Vision 2030 setting a national target to divert 82 percent of waste from landfill by 2035. Today, less than 20 percent is recycled, creating both an urgent challenge and a historic opportunity. Recycling Expo Middle East 2025 has been established as the platform where these challenges are addressed and where new partnerships and technologies can be mobilised.
The agenda will directly address Saudi Arabia’s recycling priorities. From construction and demolition waste, one of the largest and fastest-growing streams in the Kingdom, to the role of mining and chemicals in resource recovery, and the financing models required to scale circular economy projects, each discussion has been designed to deliver practical solutions aligned with national targets.
Over two days, the programme will combine high-level strategy with innovation on the ground. The Leadership Stage will convene senior figures from government, giga projects, and international organisations to set direction on policy, regulation, and finance. Running in parallel, the Innovation Showcase will highlight technologies and case studies from across Saudi Arabia and abroad, from digital platforms to advanced recycling systems, presenting solutions ready for deployment today.
More than 100 exhibitors are already confirmed to participate, including international technology providers and Saudi organisations at the forefront of recycling innovation. Their presence reflects the scale of investment and expertise flowing into the Kingdom’s recycling sector. The event will also host the inaugural Saudi 100 Awards, celebrating one hundred leaders from government, business, and academia whose work is driving the growth of recycling and sustainability in Saudi Arabia.
"Recycling Expo Middle East 2025 is where ambition becomes action," said Scarlett Russell, International Marketing Manager. "It is the platform where Saudi leadership and global expertise will converge to define the Kingdom’s recycling future. For those shaping the national sustainability agenda, Riyadh in November is not optional - it is essential."
