Highlights of the Environmental Strategy:
Waste Management:
Launched a programme focused on Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle; aims to cut single-use plastics and strengthen recycling across all major waste streams, managed by dedicated teams and certified partners.
Energy Efficiency & Renewables:
The event uses solar-powered signs and LED lights, reducing electricity demand and diesel usage by optimising power consumption.
Alignment with National Goals:
Supports Saudi Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative by promoting sustainable development and renewable energy.
Carbon Neutrality Commitment:
SMC aims for carbon-neutral motorsport events by 2030, in line with Formula 1 and national objectives.
Environmental Certification:
Received a Three-Star FIA rating, the highest level of sustainability recognition.
Red Sea Strategy Advisory:
Advised government bodies on shaping the National Red Sea Sustainability Strategy (2024), which balances ecosystem preservation and economic growth through ecotourism, fisheries, and renewables. Key targets: increase protected areas to 30%, reach 50% renewable energy in the local grid, and create thousands of blue economy jobs by 2030.
