I am a proud and passionate sustainability executive who thrives on empowering teams to deliver transformational change in recycling and waste management in Saudi Arabia. My tenure in Saudi Arabia has given me the honour of scaling operations from a small pilot model into an advanced circular economy platform, overseeing a large team of professionals and service providers who deliver pioneering initiatives that are setting new national benchmarks.
Through my leadership, the team has achieved over 70% landfill diversion and 90% organic waste recovery rates, placing the region years ahead of global sustainability targets. The projects we have executed have eliminated millions of single-use items, diverted thousands of tonnes of waste from landfills, reduced carbon emissions by tens
of thousands of tonnes annually, and raised awareness among thousands of people about the importance of sustainable waste management.
Key achievements include:
● Reusable Cup Scheme: Eliminated more than 1 million single-use paper cups annually, introducing a fully reusable, sanitised return system across multiple commercial, F&B and retail assets.
● Single-Use Plastics Elimination: Removed all disposable dining containers, cutlery, bottles, and cans, reducing 5.7 tonnes of plastic waste every month and setting the standard for closed-loop consumption.
● Trashpresso On-Site Recycling Units: Converted over 10 tonnes of plastic waste into durable community-use materials, eliminating the material from entering the waste stream, and winning recognition for innovation in 2025.
● Zero-Emission Waste Fleet: Deployed electric and solar-powered collection vehicles, achieving nearly 100% CO₂ reduction in logistics operations. ● Recycling Hub: Designed an integrated consolidation and recycling facility for a high-end tourism destination, combining solar-powered fleets, AI-driven data analytics, and advanced materials recovery to showcase how clean and effective waste management can be achieved.
● Recognition & Awards: Winner of the Sustainability Award (2024) and Innovation of the Year (2025) for zero-waste recycling and packaging innovation.
These achievements demonstrate how a clear strategy, executed with precision, can deliver measurable impact. Our work is now regarded as a benchmark for circular economy excellence and directly supports the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals, inspiring the new Saudi generations to become sustainability champions.
