Leila Naguib
Leila Naguib is a transformative corporate affairs and sustainability leader with over 14 years of experience shaping policy, driving high-impact partnerships, and steering organizational transformation across the Middle East and Africa. In her role as Head of Gulf Corporate Affairs and MEA Sustainability at Mars, Leila leads high-stakes advocacy across critical areas—including trade, taxation, labor, public health, environmental sustainability, and food safety.
Leila plays an instrumental role in driving large-scale change management and strategic communications, following Mars’ landmark acquisition of Kellanova, she has been pivotal in steering regional integration, brand alignment, and culture-building initiatives. Her work has directly influenced regulatory frameworks and fostered public-private partnerships that advance Mars’s purpose-driven agenda. Simultaneously, she embeds sustainability into Mars’s long-term regional strategy, delivering measurable impact across environmental stewardship, circular packaging, health and wellbeing, inclusion and diversity, and creating a better world for pets.
Beyond external advocacy, Leila is an active Mental Health Champion at Mars, passionately dedicated to associate wellbeing. She focuses on helping professionals prevent and navigate burnout, fostering psychological safety, and empowering working parents to thrive through major career and personal transitions.
Leila’s leadership also shapes the broader regional policy agenda. As an elected Board Member of the Multinational Companies Business Group (MCBG), she represents leading global enterprises in public-private dialogues contributing to government policy development and regulatory reform. A recognized advocate for sustainability and gender equity, Leila was honored as a 2024 WiSER Pioneer by Masdar’s Women in Sustainability, Environment, and Renewable Energy (WiSER) Program—recognizing her commitment to empowering female leadership and advancing climate action in the region.
Leila began her journey with Unilever then Mars in Egypt, joining their Corporate Affairs teams where she led different responsibilities across the GCC, North Africa, and the Levant. Other than Mars, she held strategic marketing roles at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where she led integrated communications for BCG’s functional practices.
She holds a degree in Political Science with high honors from the American University in Cairo, with minors in Business Administration and Psychology. Based in UAE with her husband and two children, Leila enjoys outdoor adventures, music, writing and voice acting.
